In 2008 id media successfully won a pitch to concept, design and build the Spelling Bee website for the
Times Online.
The site complemented the Times' offline National Spelling Bee Championship which had 500 schools registering. At the last count there was over 50,000 unique user views since launch.
The key component to the site was the introduction of character lead online gaming challenges to provide a high level of user interaction.
It has been a great success with not only school children playing but adults too. And in 2009 it was shortlisted for a Webby award.
Since I joined the company I have been involved
with various updates including illustrating the background scenes.
